This is the personal web page of Bernard Bolduc.

I write about stuff that I find cool. This is my own opinion, nobody else. I might write about security, tech and gadget. Take every thing with a grain of salt.

New way to work.

Like many, I’m looking at all those web 2.0 apps and I’m wondering if I could take all my digital life and work online and only using 2 to 5 desktop application on my computer.

For now on, I’ll be using different web apps for my day to day online life.

Meebo - Online instant messaging app. Combines all your IM in one place, ICQ, AIM, Gtalk, MSN.

dotMac - For webmail, online disk space, bookmarks…

Google Mail - For email backup.

Google Reader - RSS feed.

Google Docs - For word and spreadsheets.

Wesabe - For online finance tracking.

Tumblr - For my blog! :-)

I may also start using more apps like Flickr, delicious, and other when I find the need to replace other desktop applications.

There are only a small amount of applications on my computer now. They are Photoshop, VNC, Parallels (to run ie for those gov site that require it), Transmit, TextMate, Toast and the initial applications that a Mac comes with.

I’ll try to stick to this vision for as long as I can and I’ll write here on my blog how everything worked out for me.

Stay tuned..!
