Got a new Macbook Pro

It’s been a week since I bought my new Macbook Pro.  I got to say, it’s a nice upgrade.  Santarosa CPU, LED back-lit display, upgraded video card Radeon M8600, 802.11n wireless networking, 160 gigs HD and soon, 4 gigs of ram.  It’s not the small laptop that I was wishing for, but it’s a powerful companion that goes where ever I go.  :-)

I had the first gen Macbook Pro, the one that Steve introduced at Macworld Expo in 2006.  It was working nice, but Apple moved forward quite fast with it’s new Intel CPU.  My old MBP only lasted 6 months before a new CPU was introduced that was faster.  Now they have Core2Duo, CoreDuo are just plain old news.
