This is the personal web page of Bernard Bolduc.

I write about stuff that I find cool. This is my own opinion, nobody else. I might write about security, tech and gadget. Take every thing with a grain of salt.

I don't tell you to hack your employer, but you may find information that might help you. This is for educational purpose. If you can do it, you probably need to fix it. If nobody tell you how it's done, how can you fix it. This is why I may write about it.

What I use

Since I like to know what people use I decided to make a post of my own setup.  Here it goes.

I now use a brand new Apple Mackbook pro unibody 2.53ghz, 4gigs 1067mhz ram, 320gigs drive.  Macbook Air, first gen, 1.8ghz with 64gb SSD drive.  At home it stands on a Griffin cristal iCurve and connected to a Samsung 24” SyncMaster 2493HM.  I use an Apple bluetooth aluminium keyboard with a Logitech Nano VX mouse.

I have an Apple Mac Mini for server.  It runs OpenVPN, it has a Drobo with 2tb of disk space, I use it to encode my DVD and CD collection.  I don’t buy any CD / DVD anymore, but I still have all of them even if they are ripped to disk.  I have two printers, one HP Laserjet 1012 and a Canon i900D photo printer.

I have a second Apple Mac Mini connected to a 40” Sony KDL40V4100.  I use it to watch downloaded DivX and Hulu, it also runs Boxee.  I also have an AppleTV connected to the same TV.  It plays all my shared iTunes library.

This setup is connected to a pair of Audioengine 5 speakers that just replaced my home theater receiver.

I have a white Chumby and a first gen Nabaztag.

All of this is networked with an Apple Airport Extreme and an Apple Airport Express. They are connected to a Cisco Pix on Videotron cable network.

For gaming, I have a Microsoft XBOX 360 and a Nintendo Wii and DS.

I take picture with a new Nikon D90, a Canon G9 and sometime a Canon SD750. I have a Flip Video Ultra that I use to take small video.

When I’m not using my computer, I can always be reach on my Apple iPhone.

EDIT: I now also have a new Sony Vaio Serie P for netbook use.
